I've been noticing a pattern re: work. Here goes…

If information is requested of me, (like when one would google something, because one needs to know something) the information is retained. Or it seems to be as I cannot vouch for anyone's memory or brain capacity.

If I volunteer information (like when one randomly searches the internets and occasionally finds interesting things on said internets) the information is forgotten. I know this because I often find myself repeating, myself…

In both cases, like Google and to a lesser degree, the internets, one finds comfort in knowing that I retain all of the information. Or I seem to.

I wonder what forgetfullness feels like.
