The iPod classic & its mortal enemy…

Lint. I couldn't believe how much there was. The play/pause button — hosed. Before and after cleaning; it was worse before snapping these photos. Not crazy dust bunny land, but surprising for a device that appears to be airtight.

After cleaning, it's still a little wonky. Probably due to me mashing the play/pause button for the last few months before I had the nerve to crack the seals. And that?

A. Chore.

Getting reaquainted with my iPod

My now 20 month old iPod classic doesn't see as much play time as I'm not on the rails as much, so it's almost exclusively a carPod classic.

And I'm messing around with an iPhone app called "Mill Colour" to do some post processing on the photo. Pretty neat. And presently, free.

iTunes 9 Browser changes FYI.

If you're missing the Browser view on the top of your music library (in list view), the default behavior seems to have changed in iTunes 9. Now, there's one really long column on the left, between the source list (blue, left side) and the music library (everything else). To restore the default look, follow the orange arrows below. And there's more options now, too!

4 years later, a feature request has been fulfilled...

Of course, at the time, I wanted it so one could navigate one's music without looking at the iPod while it was safely tucked away in a pocket somewhere. Semantics.

Outta time?

Umm, huh?
